WE tv recently announced that the Sunday, July 23, 2006 airing of the network’s original hit series Bridezillas ranked as the network’s highest-rated original series telecast in the cable channel’s history. Bridezillas, a narrative type reality wedding show, has become an anchor show for the network and features a series of brides from across the United States who are in the midst of planning and preparing for their wedding day. The show first aired in June of 2004 and has steadily gained in popularity ever since. The hook of the show (where you can watch real brides go from “sweet to certifiable”) is that the brides are filmed while oscillating between being kind, soft spoken and gracious one minute to suddenly wild, shrieking and monstrous divas the next. The tagline of the show reads, “She’s engaged, enraged, and about to be committed!” and has featured many completely out of control brides.
